Hand me a pen and a napkin, and I will reach a flow state. I’ve always been able to gather my thoughts quickly on paper.

This isn’t to say that I struggle to express myself verbally; my friends and family can attest that I’m always ready for a friendly debate. But on paper, my creativity knows no bounds.

My love for writing formed in school. I looked forward to my humanities and English classes and heavily relied on them to save my GPA. I especially loved writing fictional stories and sharing them with my class.

As I’ve aged, writing is one of the many things from my childhood that I want to keep alive. I’ve tried a variety of platforms and dragged my feet through procrastination, but I’ve finally found one that has stuck… Substack.
